Founding CEO

Borja Blond is an international aviation executive and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) expert with over two decades of experience across airlines, aviation innovation and emerging aerospace programmes in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He has held senior leadership roles including CEO, Managing Director and Accountable Manager, leading aviation organisations through operational transformation, regulatory certification and strategic growth. As founding CEO of NEOM Vertical Mobility Operating Company (VMOC), he led the development of one of the world's most ambitious Advanced Air Mobility initiatives, working with regulators, industry partners and technology developers to establish the foundations for safe and scalable eVTOL passenger and cargo operations. Today he serves as Head of Innovative Air Mobility at Aloula Aviation, leading initiatives that integrate Advanced Air Mobility, unmanned aircraft systems, artificial intelligence and digital aviation technologies into commercial operations. His expertise spans aviation strategy, regulatory approvals, safety management, risk assessment, autonomous flight operations and AI-enabled aviation ecosystems. He also lectures on Advanced Air Mobility, Urban Air Mobility and Artificial Intelligence in Aviation.
