Irtiza Arain is Director of Cybersecurity at EY MENA, and one of the independent advisors shaping the technical agenda of this summit as well as moderating one of its panels. Consulting in OT security differs from its IT counterpart: the client is a plant or a station rather than an office, risk is measured first in production downtime and personnel safety rather than data leakage, and assessment cannot be run with active scanning tools that might bring down a twenty-year-old controller. His work covers maturity assessment, building industrial security programmes and aligning them with national controls.
