Husam Kayyali

Consultant Pediatric Neurologist and Chief of Pediatric Neurology Division

Husam Kayyali is Division Chief of Pediatric Neurology and Director of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program at Sidra Medicine in Qatar. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in pediatric neurology, clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy, and is a Fellow of the American Epilepsy Society. He previously served as Assistant Professor of Pediatric Neurology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he co-established the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at Children's Mercy Hospital. He then headed the Pediatric Neurology Section and directed the Pediatric Neurology Fellowship Program at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia. His honors include a Distinguished Research Award from the Deanship of Scientific Research at King Abdulaziz University and a Top Posters Award at the 2010 American Epilepsy Society annual meeting.
