Fariha Ansari Javed is a partner at the venture debt fund Stride Ventures and its lead for global capital formation, based in the Gulf, where she drives the Indian fund's regional expansion and investor relations for its rupee and dollar funds. She has twenty-one years of experience across finance, insurance and government in the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific, including a decade on Wall Street in the early 2000s as an underwriter at AIG and Zurich Insurance, managing multi-billion-dollar portfolios for US clients and specialising in complex international property and large-scale reinsurance placements. She served as chief strategy officer at Toffee Insurance, was founding director of The Common Room, a platform for new entrepreneurs, and advised the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry on India, facilitating foreign direct investment. She holds a bachelor's degree in international relations and economics from Mount Holyoke College, studied at Harvard Business School and serves on its alumni board.
