Faisal Althobaiti

Senior Cybersecurity and Digitalization Engineer

Faisal Althobaiti is a Senior Cybersecurity and Digitalization Engineer at Ma’aden, the Saudi Arabian Mining Company, the national mining arm and the third pillar of the Kingdom’s industrial strategy after oil and petrochemicals. The company operates mines and processing plants for phosphate, aluminium and gold at remote sites such as Wa’ad Al Shamal and Ras Al Khair, environments that combine two challenges: industrial control systems far from centres of expertise, and network connectivity that is necessary for remote operation and production monitoring. His title joins security and digitalisation together, reflecting how the two are managed in this sector as a single programme.
