Amanda Cowley, JD, is Chief Growth Officer and Executive Vice President for Programs, Regional Operations and Strategy at the U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP), leading global programmes, regional operations, strategy, marketing and business development in support of USP's quality standards for medicines, foods and dietary supplements. She joined USP in 2017 and previously served as Vice President of Strategy and General Counsel before moving into her current commercial leadership role, which oversees teams across USP's regional offices in Basel, Singapore, Sao Paulo, Shanghai and Hyderabad, with a sixth office opening in Nairobi in 2026. Earlier in her career she held roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and was a partner in McKinsey's healthcare practice. She holds a JD from Yale Law School and a BA from Williams College.
