Ahmad Aboshaiqah

Professor Ahmad Aboshaiqah is a pioneering figure in Saudi nursing: the Kingdom's first Saudi full professor of nursing and the first Saudi to be elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. He is professor and consultant at the College of Nursing, King Saud University, where he served as dean between 2014 and 2019, and he co-founded the Saudi Nurses Association and serves as its vice president. With more than twenty-five years of experience spanning clinical practice, medical and nursing administration, ambulatory care and education, he helped build the Kingdom's academic nursing programmes and develop its professional leadership, and chaired the Nursing Scientific Board at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. He holds a doctorate from Wayne State University in the United States, has close to a hundred peer-reviewed publications, and has been listed among the world's top two per cent of influential scholars for three consecutive years.
