Saudi Nurses Association
The Saudi Nurses Association is a Saudi professional scientific society established by resolution of the Board of Trustees on 30 May 2018, under the general bylaw governing health professional scientific societies in the Kingdom, with its headquarters in Riyadh. The association describes itself as an effective and influential voice for Saudi nursing, working to raise the efficiency and quality of services delivered to the community and to build professional communication channels among nursing practitioners locally and internationally. Its strategy centres on strengthening nursing capabilities across professional, research and educational fields in line with local and international standards, and on developing strategic partnerships with relevant bodies inside and outside the Kingdom. The association has more than eight thousand members across active, affiliate and student memberships, and its board is chaired by Dr. Mohammed Alghamdi, General Director of Nursing at the Ministry of Health. It operates standing committees for scientific research and publication, continuing professional development, and social engagement and public relations, alongside its scientific clubs. Its flagship activities include the annual international conference and the International Nurses Day celebration.
