The Saudi Fine Arts Society in Jeddah, known as «Jasfat Jeddah», participated in Jeddah International Motor Show 2026 with a themed pavilion titled «Cars: From Authenticity to Contemporaneity», where a group of artists presented paintings that bring classic vehicles and modern models together under a shared visual language, according to a report carried by Sabq.
The pavilion set out to bridge two worlds that rarely meet on the same platform, pairing the structural beauty of cars with free artistic composition, as the participating artists worked bold colour with contemporary form and expressive depth to highlight the intersection between aerodynamic engineering and unconstrained line, lending a human character to otherwise silent mechanical objects.
The displayed works ranged from evocations of vintage cars carrying a sense of history to contemplations of the flowing lines and power of current and future models, with each painting drawing attention to the distinctive visual identity of its subject through treatments that reflect the diversity of artistic schools and the contrast between motion and stillness. The artists relied on acrylic and mixed media to capture the interplay of light and shadow across the metallic and polished surfaces of vehicles, offering a visual experience that reconsiders the relationship between machine and human from a purely aesthetic angle.
The society described its presence at the international event as an extension of its role in enriching the Kingdom's cultural scene, framing the participation as part of its commitment to positioning fine art as a core element of Saudi cultural identity. The pavilion adds an artistic dimension to the show's programme, which runs at the Jeddah Center for Exhibitions and Events and has already drawn more than 10,000 visitors.
