The Consumer Protection Society has taken a prominent presence at the Jeddah International Motor Show 2026, turning its pavilion into an interactive advisory platform where visitors can raise questions about buying, financing and servicing vehicles, according to the Saudi Press Agency. The society said its participation aims to deepen consumer awareness and build working ties with shoppers as well as with the public and private sectors, under the slogan “Accurate information, smarter decisions, better experience.”
Advisers stationed at the pavilion are offering guidance meant to help individuals and companies sidestep legal and sales pitfalls, covering the obligations attached to cash purchase contracts versus lease-to-own agreements, along with rights tied to periodic maintenance terms and extended warranty conditions. The society frames the effort as a way to keep communication open between consumers and local dealers, so that the trading environment stays fair and transparent while market relationships remain balanced over the long term.
The pavilion drew heavy footfall and noticeable engagement from visitors keen to understand the mechanics of car buying, with particular interest in printed guides and on-the-spot consultations on contractual differences and commitments. That exchange, the society said, helped raise visitors' awareness and steered them toward more measured and safer investment decisions in a market undergoing rapid change.
The society also showcased its programmes, foremost among them the “Consumer Voice” application it plans to launch soon, which is designed to serve all consumer segments through smart tools such as price comparison and tracking of market value trends for consumer products across the Kingdom. The app is intended to let shoppers spot unjustified price disparities and choose on the basis of live indicators and comparisons, reinforcing transparency and fair competition.
