The 4th International Engineering Conference (IECE 2026)

About the event
The International Engineering Conference returns to Riyadh for its fourth edition, IECE 2026, from 14 to 16 December 2026 at the Riyadh Front Exhibitions and Convention Centre in halls 4 and 5, under the theme “Leading the Future and Innovating Solutions”, gathering engineering leaders, decision-makers and experts from Saudi Arabia and abroad across three days on a national platform with international reach that examines the role of engineering in the Kingdom's development and economic transformations. The organiser publishes an expectation of more than 60,000 participants and over 100 participating entities and more than 1,000 scientific papers for this edition.
The programme is built on six connected experiences: panel discussions featuring ministers, chief executives and sector leaders; scientific papers across six tracks covering smart engineering and artificial intelligence in megaprojects, future energy systems and green hydrogen, advanced construction and industrial building technologies, water security and sustainable environmental engineering, smart industry and supply chains, and engineering governance, risk and compliance; alongside the engineering exhibition, the first edition of the Engineering Hackathon, the IECE Deals Hub for launches and partnerships, and the Engineering Museum tracing the sector's evolution. Twenty-one panel discussions are spread across the three days with a theme for each: engineering and major national transformations on day one, engineering, economy and investment on day two, and engineering, humanity and the future on day three, addressing decision-makers, engineering leaders, academics, researchers, investors and local and international engineering firms.
The conference is organised by the Saudi Council of Engineers under the patronage of the Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, around five strategic objectives: establishing the Kingdom as a regional and international hub for the engineering sector, strengthening the contribution of engineering to Vision 2030 targets, attracting international partnerships, expertise and investment, empowering national engineering talent, and advancing innovation and artificial intelligence across engineering sectors. Registration runs through an interest form on the official website, through which registrants are sent registration details and participation opportunities; attendance is free of charge under the conference terms and requires no user account. Paper submissions opened on 27 July 2026 and close on 26 September 2026, with acceptance notified on 1 October 2026; papers are accepted in Arabic or English within a ten-page limit and must follow the conference template.
