Adrian Messerli

President of Hotel Operations, EMEA

Adrian Messerli serves as President of Hotel Operations for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. From this position he oversees an operating portfolio of more than 40 hotels, resorts, and residences, with over 20 additional properties under development, leading an expanding team of operations, commercial, and marketing specialists in support of the region's luxury hospitality experiences. Messerli joined Four Seasons in 2005 and has held assignments across the United States, the Caribbean, South America, China, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. He served as General Manager at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles, then in 2018 as General Manager in Shanghai, before assuming the role of Regional Vice President and General Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid, the company's first property in Spain. He is also a member of the company's Global Spa Task Force and a recognised expert in food and beverage operations. Messerli holds a Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality from Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne in Switzerland and is a Certified Chef from Neuchatel, alongside a certification in Hotel Real Estate Investment and Asset Management from Cornell University. Raised in a Swiss ski-resort village in his family's fourth-generation hotel, he speaks five languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, and Portuguese, an asset that strengthens his ability to lead multicultural teams across the luxury hospitality industry.
