Yousef Alsayed serves as Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of AILA (Artificially Intelligent Learning Assistant) in Saudi Arabia, a Saudi educational-technology company founded in Riyadh in 2023. AILA provides a generative-AI-powered platform offering a personalised, curriculum-aligned daily-learning experience. The platform covers all educational stages from kindergarten through university and beyond, using an advanced technique known as Knowledge Tracing to evaluate a student's knowledge state, monitor its progression, and predict future performance. Alsayed founded AILA in 2023 alongside Abdulaziz Bin Mugayel and Nouf Mugayel. The company successfully closed a 1.15-million-US-dollar pre-seed funding round in October 2024, led by Sabah Hub with participation from White Hill Capital and a group of angel investors. HolonIQ, in collaboration with QS Quacquarelli Symonds, selected AILA among the Top 50 EdTech startups in the Middle East and North Africa region for 2024, chosen from more than 1,500 innovative startups across the region. Alsayed graduated from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, and received the "Best AI Education CEO 2023" award from the Middle East CEO Awards. He is among the most prominent young Saudi entrepreneurs in AI-enabled educational technology, and is working to redesign the learning experience as personalised and adaptive, in line with Saudi Vision 2030's goals of developing the education system and empowering national talent in the digital economy.
