Sharlina Islam is Head of Curriculum and Assessment at Riyadh Schools Hittin, leading curriculum design, assessment systems and teaching and learning from kindergarten through elementary, middle and high school. Her role centres on developing and embedding a standards-based curriculum aligned with international benchmarks, national requirements and the school’s academic vision. She leads whole-school assessment and data systems that track progress, inform intervention and improve student outcomes, with an emphasis on literacy, numeracy and instructional quality, and she works with school leaders to build professional capacity through coaching, professional development and clear expectations for teaching, learning and assessment. She also plays a key role in school improvement planning and accreditation readiness, ensuring coherence between curriculum intent, classroom implementation and measurable impact.
