Sean is a Trade Finance specialist with 23 years of banking experience, 18 with HSBC, holding leadership positions in Trade Finance in New York, Latin America, and Hong Kong. He has been in Riyadh, with SAB for 5 years, working on innovation and digitalization, leading SAB's digital projects in Trade Finance. His current focus is on embedded finance, digital guarantee propositions, and bringing the bank's trade finance IT architecture to be best in class, with the ambition to use technological developments to reduce friction in Trade Finance, decrease the Trade Finance gap, and support Saudi Arabia's Vision initiatives of becoming a global trade hub and digital banking center, with a growing SME sector. Sean is also involved with Trade Finance industry initiatives, including the International Trade and Forfaiting Association's Middle East Trade Technology adoption group and the ICC's Digital Standards Initiative.
