Rehan Ahmed is acting chief executive of Arabio, one of Saudi Arabia's pioneering vaccine and biopharmaceutical manufacturers. He leads the company's strategy to expand local pharmaceutical manufacturing capability, strengthen vaccine security and build partnerships with leading global biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. With executive experience spanning healthcare, finance, strategy and business development, he has played a key part in developing partnerships aimed at bringing advanced technologies, innovative products and localised manufacturing capability to the Kingdom and the wider region. His current focus is on positioning Arabio as a strategic platform for vaccine and biopharmaceutical manufacturing that supports the Kingdom's ambition to strengthen healthcare resilience, localise critical pharmaceutical capability and establish itself as a regional life sciences hub. He holds a global MBA and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in the United Kingdom, a fellow of CPA Australia and a chartered global management accountant.
