Nezar Alhaidar is chief operating officer and vice president for Saudi Arabia at Lean Technologies, a fintech founded in 2019 that provides data and payment tools through banking APIs for businesses in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and has processed more than $2 billion in account-to-account payments. Before joining Lean he was director of Fintech Saudi, the initiative launched by the Saudi Central Bank to develop the Kingdom's fintech ecosystem, and earlier helped build the Saudi entrepreneurship ecosystem through roles at the Badir incubator and at Monsha'at, the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority. His work centres on open banking, startup enablement and the relationship between regulators and entrepreneurs in the Saudi market.
