Senior Director, Technical Development

A Saudi engineer serving as Senior Director of Technical Development at the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center, where he leads the Infrastructure Projects Code, the unified set of technical standards and requirements governing how utility works in the region are planned, designed and delivered. His remit covers construction quality, safety and sustainability, and reducing conflict between government authorities, developers, consultants and contractors working in shared corridors. The centre was created by royal order in July 2023 and is chaired by the Mayor of Riyadh; it licenses, manages and monitors infrastructure works across roads, water, wastewater, power and telecommunications, and carried out more than 91,000 compliance inspection rounds in a single year.
