Melike Kara Tanrikulu is Chief Executive Officer of e& money, the fintech arm of e& life in the United Arab Emirates, a financial super-app covering remittances, merchant payments, bill payments, card payments, investment and lending. She has more than twenty years of experience in payments and fintech, including nine years as a chief executive within two major telecom groups, where she built financial businesses from the ground up with strategies tailored to each market. She was the founding chief executive of Paycell in Turkey, which became one of the country's largest fintech companies by users and profitability. Her expertise spans payments, digital banking, e-wallets, remittances, microfinance, partner ecosystems and analytics. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Middle East Technical University, awarded in 2004, and completed a financial inclusion programme at Harvard Business School and a leadership programme in digitisation and transformation at IMD Business School.
