Dr Mansour Alsaleh
Head of Innovation Hub
Dr Mansour A. Alsaleh is Head of the Innovation Hub at the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), a unit he co-founded and has led since 2021. Before joining the central bank he was co-founder and executive director of the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Saudi Arabia, the World Economic Forum-affiliated centre established with KACST that hosts this forum. Earlier he served at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology as programme executive director of the Technical Leaders Program, managing director of the Joint Centers of Excellence Program, and associate professor. He received his BSc in Computer Science from King Saud University in 1999, an MSc from the University of Ottawa in 2006 and a PhD in Computer Science from Carleton University in 2011, followed by an executive MBA from Harvard Business School. His research career centred on computer and network security, covering intrusion detection, web authentication, phishing mitigation, privacy and identity management alongside big data analytics and machine learning, carried out in part through the KACST-MIT Center for Complex Engineering Systems, and his publications have accumulated more than 3,400 citations. He has served as an expert on trustworthy artificial intelligence for the G20 Digital Economy Task Force and participates in the Science 20 engagement group.
