Ibraheem Mohammed Alsawalem

Ibraheem Mohammed Alsawalem is an associate professor at the University of Hail specializing in developmental and intellectual disabilities. He earned his PhD from the University of Newcastle in Australia at the age of 34. He has worked as a teacher, as a supervisor at the Ministry of Education and as executive director of a local disability association, and he developed and managed a local Center for Disability Studies and Scientific Communication. His work integrates psychological, educational and inclusive strategies to support the wellbeing and learning of students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. His research has received awards including recognition from the Saudi Embassy in Australia and the Best Research Award in Humanities at the University of Newcastle; he has more than 35 publications cited more than 100 times and serves on the editorial boards of several international journals. In his department he chairs the scientific committee and takes part in several university committees, working to advance inclusive education and student wellbeing in line with Vision 2030.
