Haif Bannayan

Director, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Canada

Haif Bannayan is Director for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Canada at the International Baccalaureate, accountable for the growth and success of the IB community across the region, with a focus on expanding access, supporting existing school networks and building partnerships. He previously spent seven years as the IB’s Director of Business Development, widening programme adoption in new and existing markets and managing relationships with advisory councils, associations of IB World Schools and teacher networks. Before joining the IB he was CEO of the Queen Rania Teacher Academy, an institution for teacher professional development and a strategic partner of the IB, and his career includes work in education reform and technology-driven education projects. He holds a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Birmingham, an Executive Management Diploma from INSEAD and a Certificate in Educational Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
