Gavin Maher is an educational consultant at Renaissance Learning, supporting schools across the Middle East with Nearpod and Flocabulary. With more than 12 years in education, he has worked as a classroom teacher, phase leader, subject leader and whole-school leader in Ireland and the United Arab Emirates, focusing on improving teaching and learning, supporting teacher development and helping educators turn assessment insight into classroom action. His interests include adaptive teaching, differentiation, formative assessment, inclusion and student engagement. He holds a bachelor’s degree in education and training, a Professional Master of Education in primary education and a master’s degree in international educational leadership, and he now works with educators and school leaders to use Nearpod to build more engaging and inclusive classrooms that meet the needs of every learner.
