Ferenc Bole

Head of IT

Ferenc Böle is head of information technology at the National Bank of Oman, having moved to Oman in 2023 to take the role. He has close to twenty-five years of experience in banking IT, beginning in his native Hungary after starting his career at EY, then joining K&H Bank as a senior project manager and moving to CIB Bank to lead its application development department. At OTP Bank he was responsible for the project management office, enterprise architecture and IT units of foreign subsidiaries across eight countries including Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Serbia, and took part in the group's acquisition of Société Générale subsidiaries, later working at MBH. He now leads large-scale IT operations at the National Bank of Oman and writes and speaks about the differences between European and Middle Eastern practice in the field.
