Farida Hozefa Sehorewala
Elementary Homeroom Teacher
Farida Hozefa Sehorewala is an early years and primary educator with more than 15 years of teaching experience, currently teaching Grade 1 at GEMS Al Khaleej International School. Having taught across several international curricula, she brings a practical understanding of how young learners develop in diverse settings. She focuses on play-based, purposeful teaching that supports children with different learning needs and styles, designing classroom practice that engages visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learners through hands-on experiences, discussion, movement and exploration so that every child has several ways to access and demonstrate learning. She uses scaffolding and targeted strategies to support learners of English as an additional language and those ready for further challenge, creating inclusive environments where all learners feel confident, and she treats technology as one of many tools that enhance learning when used purposefully alongside play-based approaches.
