Efayomi Carr is an investment partner at Flourish Ventures, which he joined as its first employee in Africa before being promoted to partner, and is based in Nairobi. He has led investments in Honeycoin, Littlefish and Earthacre and supported investments in Flash, Lorum, MaxAB and MoneyHash, played a key role in developing, hiring for and launching Madica, the fund's Africa-focused early-stage platform, and served on the team that developed its climate thesis and led its initial climate investments on the continent. He began his career co-founding Transparent Nigeria, a digital journalism and data sharing platform, worked at Boston Consulting Group and at Jumia, where he was head of marketplace and grew that business to roughly a quarter of platform revenue, and spent six months seconded to the government of Sierra Leone as the senior official leading data management in the response to the 2015 Ebola outbreak, later serving as head of strategic finance and then interim chief financial officer at Lori. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
