Head of GCC

Diederik Kok is Head of GCC at Biogen, leading operations with full profit-and-loss responsibility across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman, and overseeing the establishment of Biogen's regional headquarters in Riyadh as part of the company's engagement with Saudi Vision 2030, including a commitment to conducting clinical trials in the GCC and a recent risk-sharing agreement with the Saudi government. With more than twenty years in the pharmaceutical industry across emerging and European markets in both human and animal health, he spent sixteen years at MSD (Merck) in senior commercial leadership roles across the Netherlands, Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan and the wider CIS, and later served as General Manager for Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the Middle East at Zoetis. He holds a BSc in Hotel Management from Hotel School The Hague and an MA in Communication and Strategy from the University of Amsterdam.
