Deepali Nangia is a partner at Speedinvest on its Middle East, Africa and Beyond investment team and a member of the fund's ESG committee, leading its gender and micro-GP initiatives, which have invested in around twenty first-time fund managers, half of them women and diverse general partners. She began her career as an investment banker on Wall Street, then moved to GE Equity and Stone Point Capital, where she led transactions in early-growth financial services and fintech companies, and later led operational teams at Marsh McLennan and Aon before shifting her focus to supporting female founders. In 2020 she co-founded Alma Angels, a community set up to increase the number of female angel investors in Europe funding female-founded companies, and as an angel has backed companies including PensionBee, Fluus, Sano Genetics and Shellworks. She holds an MBA in finance from the University of Rochester and won the UK Business Angels Association's Angel Investor of the Year award in 2021.
