Debra Reid

Year Group Leader

Debra Reid is a Year 6 teacher and year group leader at the British International School of Jeddah, with a strong focus on cognitive development and evidence-informed practice. She supports pupils to become more effective, independent learners and has a particular interest in the role of cognitive training in education. She has been exploring the impact of BrainHQ as a tool for strengthening core cognitive skills such as attention, memory and processing speed, and how those improvements can translate into better classroom performance and learner confidence. Through this work she has helped students and colleagues understand how brain training can complement high-quality teaching and contribute to whole-school improvement, and she shares practical strategies that teachers can apply in real classrooms.
