Davis Parakal is Chief Executive Officer for the United Arab Emirates and General Manager for the Gulf at Remitly, based in Dubai. Remitly is a listed United States company specialising in digital cross-border remittances, handling around $75 billion in payments worldwide, and has operated in the UAE since 2023. In July 2026 he led the company's receipt of a stored value facilities licence from the Central Bank of the UAE, allowing it to offer products beyond remittances including a digital wallet, and the company also opened a presence in Abu Dhabi. He is pursuing expansion in the Saudi market in partnership with the digital payments company Tiqmo, and describes the Gulf as a strategic market for the business. He studied at Coventry University in the United Kingdom.
