Dalal Hashisho

Head of Elementary School and SEL Coach

Dalal Hashisho is Head of Elementary School and a Social Emotional Learning coach at Makers Learning School International, where she works with teachers, students and heads of department to create a learning atmosphere that is emotionally safe, connected and engaging. Her primary aim is to help students develop self-regulation, emotional awareness and social skills so that they can access learning fully and flourish academically and socially. She is a member of the Conscious Discipline Action Team, and her practice is rooted in the Conscious Discipline framework. She works with teaching staff and departments to apply brain-based, trauma-responsive strategies that help students process their feelings, resolve disagreements and develop a sense of belonging, building consistent routines, a common language and practical classroom structures that promote wellbeing and engagement. In the Saudi educational context she follows a culturally responsive approach to social and emotional learning that respects local traditions while developing the whole child.
