Christos Passas

Director

Christos Passas is a Director at Zaha Hadid Architects, where he has worked for more than twenty-seven years, joining as a Senior Designer in 1998 and being appointed Director in 2019 after serving as Associate Director. He graduated from the School of Architecture at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn as a Fulbright Scholar in 1995 and completed postgraduate studies in Advanced Architectural Design at the Architectural Association in London in 1998. Over his career at the firm he has led the design of cultural, mixed-use and masterplanning projects across Germany, Greece, Cyprus, Serbia, Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Middle East and East Asia, including the Sheikh Zayed Bridge in Abu Dhabi and the Phaeno Science Centre in Germany, which was shortlisted for the Stirling Prize in 2006. His work focuses on parametric urbanism, eco-technological urbanism and regenerative development, and he was named Architect of the Year at the Brit List Awards in 2020.
