Christophe Makni

Head of Data, Automation and AI

Christophe Makni is head of data, automation and artificial intelligence at Migros Bank, a large Swiss retail bank based in Zurich. He has twenty-five years of international experience across manufacturing in automotive and pharmaceuticals and financial services in insurance and banking across Europe and Switzerland, driving digital and AI transformation through data-driven innovation and human-centred leadership, and previously worked at Basler Kantonalbank. He holds an engineering degree from the French engineering school ENSIMAG in Grenoble and a master's degree in computer science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany, where he specialised in machine learning and robotics. He works as a lean agile coach and university lecturer and has co-led a Swiss Finance Institute master class on agentic artificial intelligence in finance.
