Homeroom Teacher

Batool Hassan is an early years and primary educator based in the United Arab Emirates, teaching Grade 1 at GEMS Al Khaleej International School. She focuses on inclusive, purposeful teaching that supports all learners, including students with special educational needs, English language learners and high-achieving students, both in the classroom and at home. She regards technology as one powerful tool among many, which, used intentionally alongside strong pedagogy, play-based learning and meaningful relationships, can remove barriers, amplify student voice and widen access to learning. As a Seesaw Ambassador she models the use of digital platforms for differentiation, assessment and communication through visual scaffolds, audio support and choice-based tasks that promote independence and inclusion, particularly for learners with special educational needs. She is also a teacher content creator who has built a global community of educators on LinkedIn and Instagram, where she shares practical classroom strategies for balanced and intentional use of technology.
