Bassel Ojjeh is the co-founder, chief executive and president of LigaData, a digital transformation company based in Silicon Valley that he co-founded in 2014 to help enterprises extract value from their data at both a technical and a business level. He has spent his career building data technologies and products that drive business performance and revenue, holds several patent filings, and has a record of founding data startups and building large data organisations at companies including Microsoft, Yahoo and nPario, where he was founder, president and chief executive. Born in Syria, he studied there through high school before moving to the United States at sixteen, and attended Bowling Green State University. Around fourteen years ago he co-founded the first English-taught university in Syria, which continued teaching and graduating students through the years of conflict.
