Anshul Johri

Group CTO

Anshul Johri has been group chief technology officer at Validus since April 2023. Validus is a financing platform for small and medium-sized enterprises in Southeast Asia. He has more than seventeen years of technology experience driving growth and scale for startups and large companies across e-commerce, travel and fintech in India and Southeast Asia. Before joining Validus he spent six years as head of engineering at the Indonesian company Traveloka, where he scaled its financial services products including the payment platform, digital wallet, buy-now-pay-later, insurance and wealth management. He founded Rentomo, a technology-driven marketplace, co-founded the home decor startup InteriorSajja, worked as a software engineer at Amazon on Amazon Global Prime and managed engineering teams at companies including Bookadda and AskLaila. He studied at Savitribai Phule Pune University.
