Amira Abdelaziz

Senior Data, AI & Fintech Innovation Leader

Amira Abdelaziz is senior adviser and head of data science and advanced analytics at the Central Bank of Egypt, leading its data, artificial intelligence and fintech innovation work, which connects to Egypt's initiatives for developing the fintech ecosystem, including the AI for FinTech Hackathon launched by the central bank with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology under the FinTech Egypt umbrella. She was previously data science manager at Commercial International Bank in Egypt. She combines executive work with academic research as an AI research member at RiskLab at the University of Toronto and a council member of Global Women in AI at CFTE, and holds adjunct assistant professor positions at Saxony Egypt University, the University of Prince Edward Island and Coventry University on programmes focused on artificial intelligence.
