Afua Hagan
Journalist and Broadcaster
Afua Hagan is a British journalist and broadcaster who serves as senior international correspondent for News Central Africa and royal commentator for CTV News, is managing editor of Black Business Magazine and hosts The Royal Dress Code podcast. Born and raised in Glasgow, she moved to London at seventeen to study journalism at City University. She has presented Sustainable Energy for CNBC, written for The Voice newspaper, served as editor-in-chief of Glam Africa magazine and held senior editorial roles across several publications, with broadcasting work at Arise News, ABN TV and The Beat 103.6FM. She appears regularly on ITV, Channel 5, the BBC, Sky News, NBC, CNN and LBC, and is widely recognised as a commentator on the British royal family. In 2024 she delivered a TEDx talk on diversity and inclusion titled Too Dark for Daytime TV.
