Abdullah Jarwan is chief executive of CNTXT, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Cognite that delivers cloud and digital transformation services across the Middle East and North Africa and provides sovereign controls for Google Cloud customers in the Kingdom. He has more than two decades of experience in cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, cloud and application development at Aramco, which he joined in 2002 as a system administrator, spending close to seven years supporting the company's computing systems in Dhahran. In 2009 he moved to Austin, Texas as a system specialist with the identity management development team at Sun Microsystems, returning to Aramco in 2010 where he became access control selections group leader and in 2011 head of its identity and access management organisation. Between 2020 and 2022 he was a business development consultant at Aramco, leading the negotiations with Cognite and Google Cloud that established the company.
