Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA)

The Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA) is the official body regulating the contracting sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was established by Council of Ministers Resolution No. 510, issued on 23 Dhu al-Qi'dah 1436 AH, to organise, develop and strengthen the contracting industry. Its work rests on the position of construction as the second largest non-oil sector in the Kingdom, with contracting as an essential pillar within it. The Authority defines its mission as regulating and enabling the sector by developing advanced quality standards, raising contractor efficiency, improving communication among the sector's parties, and enabling economic development through a competitive and transparent business environment; its stated vision is to be the trusted partner and first reference for the contracting sector. It also works to build distinguished productive capabilities, find suitable solutions to the problems contractors face, and encourage innovation in building methods. It is the organiser of the Global Future Projects Forum & Exhibition and the specialised events held under it in Riyadh.
