The Saudi Media Forum announced that Microsoft has joined the judging panel of the third edition of the Media Innovation Camp, one of the forum's initiatives, so that the panel can benefit from the company's expertise in digital transformation and artificial intelligence when evaluating innovative media projects, according to a report by Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper.
Representing the company on the panel is Zainab Al-Amin, Vice President for National Digital Transformation at Microsoft, who believes that artificial intelligence is driving the world into a new phase of development, describing the camp as a platform that nurtures creators and enables them to leverage modern technologies to build innovative solutions that shape the future of media.
This joining coincides with the project evaluation stage, where more than 300 participants representing over 25 countries compete before 11 judges, in a track aimed at shortlisting promising projects and qualifying them for development and then presentation during the Saudi Media Forum 2027.
The camp's work is divided into three main tracks: AI-enhanced journalism, smart content creation, and the smart virtual broadcaster, with Riyadh hosting the forum from February 1 to 3, 2027.
