Al-Watania Poultry closed its participation in the Riyadh expo with an excellence award for its founder, a social responsibility honor and two agreements covering breeder production and energy efficiency.

Al-Watania Poultry wrapped up its presence at the Middle East Poultry Expo 2026 in Riyadh with three announcements that spanned recognition, community work and commercial agreements, according to a company statement carried by Arab News.

The first was the Poultry Excellence Award granted to Sheikh Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi, honored for the role he has played over decades in building a domestic poultry industry, transferring know-how into the Kingdom and preparing Saudi talent that now underpins national food security. A second honor, for Excellence in Social Responsibility and Cooperative Work, went to the company itself, citing its record in job creation, developing Saudi employees, backing community programs and improving conditions inside its workplaces.

On the commercial side, two agreements were signed during the expo. The first, with Cobb-Vantress, covers breeder output and distribution as well as the transfer of technical expertise and the localization of knowledge. The second, with Al-Taqa Al-Namia International, is aimed at raising energy efficiency and keeping operations running reliably.

Ahmed Al-Qaraawi, CEO of Al-Watania Poultry, framed the three milestones as a continuation of the company's trajectory. «Al-Watania Poultry's story began with a vision to build a strong national industry, and today that vision continues through knowledge localization, Saudi capability development, and strategic partnerships that support food security and sector sustainability,» he said.

Taken together, the awards and agreements point to the company's effort to sharpen the competitiveness and long-term viability of the Kingdom's poultry sector, in line with broader national food security goals.
