Saudi Arabia signed 27 agreements with investments exceeding SAR 2.574 billion to develop the poultry sector and raise production efficiency, a move announced alongside the launch of the fifth edition of the Middle East Poultry Expo 2026 in Riyadh, according to a report by Al-Eqtisadiah.
The agreements aim to strengthen supply chains, expand investment partnerships and support food security in the Kingdom, where the poultry industry has become a central pillar of efforts to diversify production and reduce reliance on imports. The deals were signed as the exhibition opened at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center under the slogan "Innovation Today.. Production Tomorrow."
Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli inaugurated the fifth edition and toured the venue, where he reviewed the latest technologies and solutions across poultry breeding and production, feed manufacturing, animal health, and processing and packaging. He was briefed on how these technologies contribute to improving product quality and the efficiency of production operations, the report said.
The exhibition brings together more than 400 exhibiting companies and entities from 45 countries, alongside government representatives, private sector players, investors and specialists in the poultry industry. During the opening, Al-Fadhli honored the winning companies of the Poultry Sector Excellence Award, which was presented for the first time across several categories, including Lifetime Achievement – Pioneers, Leadership in Biosecurity for Safe Poultry Production, Excellence in Community Responsibility and Cooperative Work, Production and Manufacturing Excellence, and Influential International Partner in the Poultry Industry.
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture is showcasing its initiatives to develop the sector, empower producers and investors, and encourage the adoption of modern technologies and sustainable practices, while specialized pavilions connect local and international companies and open the door to cooperation and investment opportunities. The exhibition runs until October 6.
