During its participation in the Saudi Maritime and Logistics Congress 2026 in Jeddah, ABSA Al Barak Group showcased its Saudi roots, international presence, and integrated logistics capabilities, in a step aimed at strengthening relationships within the sector and developing future business opportunities, according to the statement issued by the group.
The group's expertise spans nearly 45 years, having begun as a freight forwarding agency before expanding into logistics, warehousing, and customs clearance, with its operations and partnerships covering several markets including the UAE, Singapore, India, Japan, Iraq, and Sudan, while its services cover container and bulk cargo shipping, ISO tanks, warehouses, and other integrated logistics needs.
Akshay Anand, CEO of the group, said: "Saudi Arabia is at the heart of our identity, and we are proud of the role we have built in the Kingdom's freight and logistics sector," noting that the group's history and international reach enable it to work with clients and partners across a wide range of logistics requirements.
The statement noted that the group's project portfolio combines long-term contracts with ad hoc work, with expectations that some projects will continue into 2027 and beyond, while indicating that timelines may change in response to market conditions and regional developments. Anand stressed that plans in this sector need to be reviewed and updated as circumstances change, with the focus remaining on serving clients, supporting partners, and building relationships that can evolve into sustainable business opportunities.
This participation comes at this year's edition of the Saudi Maritime and Logistics Congress 2026 in Jeddah, where the event provided a platform for connecting with current and potential partners, reflecting the importance of commercial relationships as one of the growth drivers in the maritime and logistics sectors.
