MILSET Expo-Sciences Asia 2026

Unaizah Governorate in Al-Qassim Region hosts the 8th MILSET Expo-Sciences Asia from 1 to 5 November 2026, a non-competitive, multicultural international exhibition organised by the Qassim Science and Technology Association in cooperation with the Asia regional office of the International Movement for Leisure Activities in Science and Technology (MILSET). This edition marks the first time Saudi Arabia hosts this Asia-wide gathering, which began in Kuwait in 2010 and has since travelled between countries across the continent every two years.

Young people aged 12 to 25 from MILSET member countries take part, presenting scientific and technical projects across five main fields: biological and health sciences, pure and applied sciences, environment and ecosystems, engineering, computer science and robotics, and social and behavioural sciences. Alongside the exhibition itself, the five-day programme includes workshops, Young Citizens Conferences, a MILSET Asia General Assembly, school visits, and cultural tours of the region, with the main activities held at the halls of Qassim Science Center, including the Abdullah Hamad Al-Zamil Science Oasis.

Participation is limited to delegations nominated by MILSET member organisations, with each project made up of up to four students and one supervisor, against participation fees that vary by the participant's role and their organisation's MILSET membership status, and that cover accommodation, meals, and local transport for the duration of the event. Visits to the exhibition by local school students are arranged separately through a booking channel run by Qassim Science Center.
