Forum on the Legal Aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions for Companies and Investment Opportunities

About the event
The Forum on the Legal Aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions for Companies and Investment Opportunities takes place on Monday 31 August 2026 in the Conference Hall of the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, hosted by Riyadh Chamber, which brings regulators, investors and legal practitioners together to discuss where merger and acquisition activity in Saudi Arabia is heading now that the route has become a practical instrument for reshaping ownership and widening the private sector's capacity to compete.
The programme runs across four sessions. It opens with the strategic and regulatory vision for M&A in the Kingdom, covering the role of M&A in strengthening private-sector competitiveness and the legislative and regulatory developments that support it, and continues with a session treating M&A as a tool for growth and investment value through the insurance sector's experience of consolidation, the appraisal of market opportunities and the role of investment funds. A third session sets out the regulatory and supervisory framework, including how the General Authority for Competition organises and reviews transactions and the principal legal risks these deals carry, and the closing session examines where legal due diligence meets regulatory strategy in the growth and sustainability of small and medium enterprises.
Riyadh Chamber organises the forum with the Ministry of Commerce, the General Authority for Competition, the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at) and Arab East Colleges. Speakers are drawn from those bodies alongside chief executives from insurance and financial services and specialists in legal advisory work, and the sessions are moderated by economic journalists and analysts. It is aimed at business owners, investors, lawyers, advisers, compliance officers, board members, governance teams and owners of small and medium enterprises. Attendance carries no fee but requires advance registration through the form published on the event page of the chamber's website, which asks for full name, organisation, job title, national ID or residency number and contact details, and asks whether the attendee is a chamber member without the site stating that attendance is limited to members. Certificates of attendance are issued, and enquiries go to the chamber's unified number 920004565.
