Erik Jensby is Head of Business Development and Membership at BIMCO, the world's largest international shipping association, representing shipowners, operators, managers, brokers and agents controlling around sixty percent of the world's merchant fleet by tonnage. He works on growing BIMCO's global membership base and its engagement with shipowners and managers across new and existing markets, including the Gulf, and supports the association's work on standard shipping contracts, clauses and guidance that underpin commercial shipping relationships worldwide. His session at the congress covered the risk and liability questions that arise when global trade disruption forces vessels to change course.
