Jay New is Chief Executive Officer of King Abdullah Port, operated by Ports Development Company on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, a position he has held since joining in April 2021. He brings more than twenty years of experience in ports, shipping and logistics, having previously served as CEO and General Manager of IPS/Hutchison Ports Dammam at King Abdulaziz Port, and held senior roles as a board member of the Saudi Development & Export Service Co., as a director at Gulftainer in the UAE, and with Maersk and Safmarine. He holds an honours degree from the University of Leeds and is a graduate of the London Business School, and his session at the congress examined how ports compete for shipping line cargo through operational certainty and integrated logistics ecosystems.
