Regional Director, Middle East & Africa

Ian Edwards is Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa at DNV Maritime, overseeing the classification society's maritime advisory, certification and technical services across the region's shipping and port markets. He works alongside DNV's country teams, including its Saudi Arabia and Bahrain operation, to support shipowners and maritime authorities on vessel safety, environmental compliance and the technical requirements of decarbonisation as regional fleets adopt new fuels and propulsion technologies. His regional remit places him at the centre of DNV's engagement with Gulf governments and shipping companies on maritime regulation and sustainability standards.
