Prof. Ahlam bint Ali Abu Qaid is Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah. Her field covers the history of the Arabian Peninsula and the Kingdom in the modern era and its accompanying political and social transformations, alongside the history of the Two Holy Mosques and the Hijaz.
